Restarting this Summer

I had big plans last summer to get back to the Studio and return here with projects. The good news is that I got to do some more stamping and creating, but the bad news is that I didn't get to post any of it before the school year started.

I hope that this summer, I'll be able to get into a routine that allows for both. I love creating and I really enjoy the process of sharing what I make.

My Digital Studio Facelift for the Banner and Buttons

Hello, there!  Today's much-needed blog facelift comes courtesy of My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!  I used the Legit Kit download for the fun washi tape and stamped images.  I love the fresh, fun colors for summer!

School's out and summer is here.  The Studio is undergoing a healthy dose of spring cleaning and I've got my list of Top Things to Order from the New Catty.  I'll be posting that soon and showing you some of my Studio renovations and reorganization.

Holy Cow, She's Back!

What a WEEK!  I went online last week to look at Studio-Sara.com (I need to update the banner and buttons) and *ZAP!*  it was gone.  As in *no website*.  If you typed www.studio-sara.com into your address bar, you were given a search for studio-related websites.  WHAT?!  Talk about a total freak-out...

To make a long story short, I ended up calling Tech Support (after spending hours literally going around and around in circles, shaking my fist at my poor, defenseless and BLAMELESS computer).  I spoke with three lovely people (Nel, Andrew and Daniel) who all deserve gold stars, but who were unable to help.  Since it was a problem bigger than the phone, we became email pen pals.

In a middle-of-the-night Aha! Moment last night, I thought I'd check back through my Subscriptions and Stampin' Up! folders in my email account.  I was taught early in my teaching career to create a Subscriptions folder in my account for all of those emails which contain user names, etc, when I create a new account.  For those with sensitive passwords, they're in a different, more secure location (but still accessible).  Sadly, there was no email from Tech Support in my Subscriptions, but I did find one in my Stampin' Up! email folder with the link that has since saved my website and probably my sanity.

So -- I'm back.  I hope you weren't too inconvenienced by my absence!  In the scant week I was off-line, here's what you missed:

• {Here} is an updated Retiring Accessories List.  Remember, these items are available only as long as the supply lasts, so if there's something you'll miss, order it now.  This list is updated each weekday at 4:00 PM.  If you've got your eye on Retiring Stamps, {here} is that link and you've got until June 3 to place that order.

• Need to be placed on my New Catty Mailing List?  Expect to receive yours by May 31 if you're already on there.  Not yet on?  Email me (the button is on the left side of this page).

• Have a big order to place?  If you finalize it by May 30, all orders of $350+ in merchandise qualify for an extra $30 in free stuff!  I know the month ends on May 31, but this special offer lasts until the 30th.

• Speaking of May 31, that's the deadline to order from the Spring Catalog, too, so deadlines are upon us.  The link to the Spring Catalog is up on the right.

Stampin' Up! Retired Accessories List is here!

The Retired Accessories List is now available {here}!  You know I hate to say it, but ORDER NOW -- SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED.  While you have until May 31 to order Retired Stamps, the Accessories fly off the warehouse shelves and once the stock is depleted, it is unavailable.  If a favorite is retiring (especially the 2010-2012 In Colors), order it now!

What surprised me most from the Retired Accessories List?  

1. Not all of the Stampin' Write Markers can be purchased individually in the new catalog.
2. 12 x 12 Textured Card Stock will no longer be available.
3. 12 x 12" Smooth Card Stock will be available in a limited number of individual colors and color families.
4. Grosgrain ribbon will no longer be offered (and you know how I *love* my grosgrain)!
5. Craft ink will only be available in black and white (no more Color Collections in Craft ink).

I'm formulating my order now, as there a few favorite items I don't want to miss out on.  If you're local and want to piggyback on my order, please let me know.

June 1 is upon us and so is your last opportunity to scoop up stamp sets, accessories and Definitely Decorative items which will not be available in the new 2011 -- 2012 Idea Book and Catalog, available in July.
