{Video Tutorial} Stampin' Up! Gift Card Enclosure Two Ways

Today's projects are made with Stampin' Up!'s new Gift Enclosures.  These Kraft card stock enclosures come 10 to a package and are already cut and scored to make gift-giving super-easy.  Watch the {video tutorial} below about a couple of quick, easy and fun ways to dress up these enclosures.

And now for the video...

Studio Suggestions:
  • Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399) quickly and easily decorate the enclosure's flaps.
  • Gift enclosures can be folded shut by taking one flap and then folding each adjacent flap down and tucking the last flap into the first.  Quick and easy.  Ribbon is optional, as the enclosure stays closed on its own.
  • Gift enclosures can be presented in an envelope, but beware of extra postage (check at the post office window to see if it's too thick for regular First Class Postage).
  • The inside of the enclosure provides space to decorate and/or to write a message.  Pre-cut slits exist for standard gift cards or handmade coupons (car wash, a night of babysitting, dinner, etc).
  • Using the largest non-scallop circle in the Circles Collection Framelits dies (130911), a circle can be cut (and then halved) for a quick cover of the flaps.  Simple trimming finishes out the detail.

New {Video Tutorial}! and New {Weekly Deals}!

Welcome Studio Visitors!  I've got a lot to share with you today.

First, I've been working away on a new video tutorial and here it is:

I have had my eye on this technique for a while and decided to enter this card for a couple of challenges.

As you'll hear in the video, I wanted to make this card with and without the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF (AC page 191, #117335).

Using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (OC page 35, #133324) adds such a fun and unique detail to the card and it's such an easy thing to do!

In a fun coincidence, the very stamp set used above (Make a Cake) is on sale this week as one of the Weekly Deals!

Make a Cake *CLEAR* stamp set, C126742, originally $11.95, on sale this week for $8.96!

Gingham Standard Stampin' Around Wheel, #130110, originally $6.50, on sale this week for $4.88!

Itty Bitty Punch Pack, #118309, originally $16.95, on sale this week for $12.71!

Recipes by Design Digital Download, MDS, #118869, originally $9.95, on sale this week for $5.97!

{Tuesday: Technique Video (Punch Flowers)}

Hello and welcome to the Studio! I'm sorry this is a day late. Stampin' Up! came out with an enormous announcement about its color offerings in the next catalog and I was completely distracted by this big news. I'll be publishing another post today about all of that excitement...

For the {Tuesday: Technique Video}, I enjoyed putting together the card above. I'd used that basic layout for a challenge a couple of weeks ago and then I used it in another challenge last week, but changed the colors and the textures a bit. I'm thrilled with this easy, effective layout that has eaten up so many of my scraps for me!

Here's the video:
