Sponsored by: This Week on 365 Cards...

This week, I am thrilled to be sponsoring one of my all-time favorite challenge sites, 365 Cards.  I've been playing along now for a few years and I'm hooked!

The Design Team is fantastic -- their cards are diverse, well-crafted, thoughtful and inspiring.  The good people at 365 Cards are also developing a lovely community of crafters with plenty of positive energy and support.  It's just a really nice place to spend some time.

Here are a couple of projects I made for the Patchwork challenge for yesterday...

Do yourself and your craft a favor and check them out...  There's a Word Wednesday challenge, a Color Scheme challenge and a sketch to enjoy each week, as well as other innovative challenges to stretch your creative muscles...

{Studio Spotlight}: Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Project #1

Welcome to the first installment of my {Studio Spotlight}: Sycamore Street DSP...  I love this Designer Series Paper that is offered by Stampin' Up! as a Sale-a-Bration freebie this year (any $50 merchandise purchase qualifies you!).

This card was created for two fun challenges.  The gals at 365 Cards got my creative juices flowing by inspiring us with a "Top Trends" challenge for which we were to use a popular pattern on our project.  I'm seeing a lot of this fabulous quatrefoil, so I went for that.

The sketches at Mojo Monday never disappoint.  I was telling a friend that I could use their sketch with just toilet paper and it would turn out looking fantastic...  and guess what?!  I'm a Mojo Monday Winner with this project.  Woot!

The Madison Avenue stamp set is another Sale-a-Bration freebie and that's what I used to make the flower and top pop up its center.  My color scheme is Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango and So Saffron with Whisper White.

{Studio Spotlight}: Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, Project #1

Hello, there!  I thought I'd do a series of posts about projects I've made recently with the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.  This lovely stack of 48 double-sided sheets (4 by 6 inches) can be found in the 2013 Spring Catalog (129312, a steal at $6.95).

The body of this card is made with Old Olive and I've layered Daffodil Delight and Raspberry Ripple.  The "faux stitching" and scallop detail on the right side of that piece of Old Olive are courtesy of another Spring Catalog goodie, the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Needlepoint Border (129383).

The hearts are punched using my Big Shot and the Hearts a Flutter framelits (130159 -- guess where that came from?).  If purchased with the Hearts a Flutter stamp set in the bundle, there's a 15% savings!
Both the striped piece of DSP and the polka-dotted piece come from the Prints Poetry stack (and there are cool-color versions of both designs, too).

The banners are made using my fabulous paper snips...

Stampin' Up! Supplies:

{Sale-a-Bration} Weekend Projects

This card features a stamp which comes from an old favorite set, Favorite Teddy Bear.  It's among the stamps being reissued monthly as Stampin' Up! celebrates its 25th birthday.  It and a variety of other birthday-related stamps are part of a collection called "Best of Birthdays," which is a set of six offered for $14.95.  For every six sets you purchase from this series, you can choose a set of your choice ($14.95 or less) for {FREE}.

The remaining projects were created using the Designer Paper Series Stack from the 2013 Spring Catalog entitled, Print Poetry DSP Stack (129312, $6.95 for 48 double-sided sheets).

I'll give more specifics about each of these projects as the week progresses.

Please contact me if you need a copy of the 2013 Spring Catalog or Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Details about Sale-a-Bration can be found {here}.

Hope your week has gotten off to a good start!
